About MotoGP

With over six decades of history of elite competition, MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship, comprising an eight-month, 18-round season, in 15 different countries, spanning  ve continents. Dating back to 1949, it is the oldest motorsport World Championship in existence.

Each Grand Prix brings together the most talented riders from across the world to participate in races across three distinct categories – MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.

The racing is a superb spectacle, featuring technologically advanced, high-speed machinery from the world’s leading motorcycle manufacturers. The MotoGP racing prototypes produce over 240hp, are capable of 0-100kph (62mph) in under three seconds, reach top speeds of over 340km/h (211mph) and achieve lean angles as high as 64 degrees, ridden by the most daring and talented riders on the planet.

The spectacular action and excitement of MotoGP captures the attention of millions of people worldwide, with the sport’s unique combination of speed, technology, skill and innovation appealing to and inspiring consumers from a wide range of social groups. Since its launch in 2000 the MotoGPTM brand has become iconic in motorsport and is therefore widely recognised in the Sports Licensing field.

MotoGP Licensees cover an increasingly extensive array of products, including categories as diverse as Clothing, Interactive games, Home textiles, Jewelry, Sunglasses, Watches, Outdoor Toys, Games, Stationery, Travel bags, Scooters, Helmets and Technical equipment - targeting a wide range of age groups.
